Pakistan Festival – a Glance at festivals and festivity in Pakistan
We, the homo-sapians, are classified as social animals, which mean we cannot really survive without fellow human beings around us. The urge to share our joys, sorrows and thoughts is natural and this urge gives birth to the need of public fairs and festivals. Such fairs and festivals are held in almost every country, some are even more important due to historic or national values. Different kind of games and playful activates are a part of each festival but the main focus is on festivity, celebration and rejoicing.
Importance of Festivals:
Fairs and festivals have great importance in terms of recreation. These are common features of human civilization; we’ve had festivals in the most ancient times. Some times they are based in some cities, sometimes they have natural importance, and at times they turn into international events e.g. Olympic Games.
In festivals, different artists including singers, actors or entertainers perform their skills, dancers and singers arrive from different parts of the world to entertain people and earn their share of the fame.
Large corporations and businesses target these festivals to advertise their products and brands to the visitors, they come forward to sponsor these events and at times these festivals give tremendous boost to the economy. From such fairs we come to now the culture, values, traditions and achievements made by the country, areas like agriculture, industries and handicrafts are highlighted.
Cultures value:
Most of these festivals have a rich history of many years; therefore they hold great cultural value. They reflect the culture heritage of the nations; they boast about (in a positive way) the national pride and the glory of some particular nation.
Pakistan culture:
